My Rossi 357 lever gun needs some type of hi viz sights.
I just cannot pick up the front sight on a consistent basis in low light.
It shoots dead on the money at 100 yards with the factory sights, when I can see them in the middle of the day.
The problem is obviously with my older eyes.
The brass insert just disappears in low light situations.
Do you guys any suggestions on replacement Hi viz sights and where to get them.

If your eye are having trouble w/ the front sight, it's time to bite the bullet (pun intended  ) and install an aperture/Marbles tang sight. ;)

Good morning
I am 65 and the eyes are getting to be a challenge also.
Solutions I have used...

Paint a white spot on the back side of the front sight. White enamel or finger nail polish.

Get a piece of that "fiber optic sight tube". Available in green, red and probably others colors. File down the front site and expoxy the colored tube on top. That Rossi sight has no value so you loose nothing. But make your own steel insert and expoxy to that is you desire.

Go to the Rossirifleman site and do some reading. There are suppliers making fiber front sights if you want to buy one. I am not inclined to buy anything I can make.

It is just the front sight that I am having the problem with so far.
I may try the white paint idea.
What type or brand of enamel paint should I use on the steel so that it will stick and not rub off?

The Bright Sights paint has worked well for me. The orange is very easy to pick up. Prep with their solvent or brake cleaner. You might want a finer brush than what comes in the kit.
I had the same Marbles sight on a '92 in .45LCC. It was precise, but not quick. I found it best used silhouetted on the target. There was some fiddling getting a front sight height that would work with it.
