I picked one up in the spring and have had it to the range a few times. It's a bit awkward to get used to it at first (even holding it properly seems to be odd, initially). But once you start to get comfortable with the thing, it's a hoot: It's pretty darm accurate, it's been perfectly reliable thus far with both bulk ammo (Federal from WallyWorld) and Mini-Mags, and you can occupy yourself for a long time without breaking the bank.
I wouldn't say that it has a lot of practical applications, and I don't think that I'll take it out on the prairie anytime soon for some varmit-plunking, but I'm happy to have it in the stable. Ruger makes fine firearms, and this one -- odd-looking though it may be -- is no exception.
You might want to run a search as well; the Charger has been oft-discussed on this board during the past several months.
