Ruger Charger

Could the Ruger 10/22 Charger be considered a AOW as a result of its forend bi-pod that can also be used as a vertical grip? How about if a mono-pod was installed in its place? Is this a can of worms waiting to open?

Ruger Charger with grip-pod = yes
