Ruger distributor specials

I placed an order with my LGS for a Lipsey's special 10/22 with the 22" stainless barrel (I want the longer barrel for longer sight radius with a set of tech-sights), back in early March. According to the LGS, Lipsey's still has not received the run of this special order rifle this year. Is Ruger behind, or do they normally wait till the end of the year to manufacture these custom runs?

I believe Ruger is still just behind on orders. Last spring I picked up an blued Accusport 10/22LVT, 20" varmint taper bbl. that was a two year old order they were still working on filling. Now if I could just find a stainless version.
