After I fire my GP 100 and try to pull the triger it won't move. The triger does not return all the way. when I try to pull the triger it jam's. I can cock the hammer and it works. I have notices if I push the triger a little forward it works. I took the thing apart and and couldn't find anything wrong with it. I put it back to gether and it still sticks.

This is my first Thread so if I mess up please let me know.

Thank you very much.

No one ever said Ruger had good triggers on their double action revolvers.:)

I would call Ruger or a gunsmith. I'm certain it can be fixed.

You're a bit short on info. Is it a new gun? Has it ever had trigger work done on it? Did someone maybe change some springs for a better pull weight? When you opened it up and looked at it (no offense) did you know what to look for or was it the first time you'd ever seen the inner workings of a Ruger? I bring up all these items because over the years I've owned a lot of Rugers that have been "fixed" by well meaning folks that had no business inside a revolver and the first time I took one apart a whole bunch of stuff went flying which could very well cause a trigger to not return properly. I'd send it in to Ruger and tell them your problem, they'll fix it to factory specs and charge you little or nothing. Ruger service is some of the best there is and will fix pretty much any gun they ever made whether you bought it new or not. The GP-100 is a truly great gun and when working as designed will give a lifetime of service. Good luck and welcome to the board.

Sounds like the result of someone putting in a spring kit to lighten the trigger.

The GP100 trigger needs to return fully before it can be pulled again. If someone's tampered with the trigger return spring so that the trigger doesn't return fully, the result would be exactly as you describe.

If the gun is new, it needs a trip back to Ruger. They'll fix it and ship it back for free. If there was a warranty issue, you can write them a letter when you get the gun back and reference the warranty repair, and Ruger will refund your initial shipping costs.
