That is a very nice set up!!
Are you planning on adding a scope or red dot?
I assume the muzzle brake on this rifle helps with the recoil, at least that is what I was told/read about. The recoil did seam minimal from what I was expecting, but I dont have anything to compare it too.Funny you should post this today. I was just pricing one out at my LGS.
What can you tell me about the muzzle brake/flash hider? Does it serve a purpose? It appears it is ported all the way around....
Pics? I was about to go in your direction until I came across Ruger's guide gun. Though I still have an itch for the 358 GSRI LOVE my GSR. Ruger made a legendary rifle with that one imo. I converted my 308 GSR to a 358 with a competition Match Grade Shillen barrel amongst numerous other things. If I had to pick one rifle to do it all with -hunting, -self defense/home defense, -range time THIS would be the rifle. Dont ditch the Ruger plastic mags for metal. They have torture tests done on them that are unreal. EXCELLENT choice, congrats, and enjoy her. I have a Zeiss Terra 3x on mine with QR mounts for extremely fast access to my New England Custom guns MASTERPIECE Iron Sites with the optional pop-up BIG DOT up front. Boy do I love this gun!

My sentiments exactly. The steel mags are nice, in my opinion. But I have to say the polymer are better... At least so far. I did have my reservations at first.Being a metal guy myself I have to say I choose the plastic mags over the metal ones for the GSR. I have 2- 10 rounders 2- 5 rounders. VERY tough.
Does Ruger produce a synthetic stock for southpaws?
