Ruger half lug sp100 44

I have decided to get the Ruger 1/2 lug SP100 44 over the S&W 69. I like the Roper grips and the gold bead [brass] front sight. I will shoot 240 to 250 SWC and wonder if the sights adjustment will allow for this heavy a bullet? I would not like to get the gun and find out I have to change the sight. Have any had a chance to shoot with heavy bullets?

Preliminary results seem to indicate that mine needs a taller front sight. I was going to call Novak to see about a replacement, they make the factory front sights.

I know Novak has some Ruger sights and wonder if they have one for this model GP [I see I said SP in the tread heading] since I am not sure if the sights on this model are the same as the other GP's.

They do, the brass bead front sight was an offering from them before the half lug model was introduced. I bought some for my other .44 GP's. Couldn't get the fiber optic out of the full lug 5".
