this past weekend i attended a gun show and found two different tables selling a type of gp100 i hadn't seen before. half-lug, blued, smooth wood grips, 357 magnum, with a 6 round cylinder. for the life of me i cant find anything about this variation. i see on the ruger sight that there is a Lipsy's distributor exclusive that is almost exactly what i found, except they are only listed as 327 and 44 special. does anybody have information on the model i found? is this a new model?

i assumed as much but wasnt sure. curious that it isnt shown on the ruger website

Ruger doesn't seem to show some of the dealer exclusives like my model 1740 5" GP-100 either. Search Lipsey's. It's a nice 5" GP at 39oz. an ounce less than the 4" GP full lug.
