How so? The SR9c has a double-stack magazine, not single-stack like the LCP. LCP stands for "Lightweight Compact Pistol," not necessarily ".380 only pocket pistol." So if Ruger introduced a very small, single-stack 9mm carry pistol similar in size to a Kahr PM9, it would be more than appropriate to include it in the LCP family.

Fixed it for you.

I'll fix it for both of you....."Little Copied Pistol" ;)

I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Taurus PT709 has all of those, including the safety. PF-9 and PM9 have all of that but the safety. What you want is out there; it's just not made by Ruger.

Yeah, but it's twice the gun!
No, really it's not once you include size and weight into the issue. The Ruger scores very well in those departments.

The LCP is a very good little pistol. But yes, i would concede that a Kahr is "better" as an outright mechanical device.

I don't want a Taurus. And i definitely do not want another Kel Tec. I didn't like the first, last, and only one i had.

What i really want is a modern HK pocket pistol, but they're so LE/M centric in their thinking, it'll never happen. :(

And we have a winner!

Vis a vis the original topic, the PM9 is the smallest practical 9x19mm pistol, and probably always will be. The $1,100 R9 is plagued with reliability problems and high maintenance as a result of it's diminutive size. The 9x19 operates at nearly 50% higher pressure than the .380 ACP. Comparatively, it'd be like squeezing the .380 cartridge into a Baby Browning chassis.
