When I went shopping for a pocket pistol, I specifically wanted the trait of being smooth, streamlined and snag-free. I chose the LCP as it has more of this trait. The Bodyguard has too many edges, corners, projections and facets for my taste. My LCP - a second generation model with improved sights and trigger, which starts the hammer from half cock instead of fully at rest, as well as a stainless slide - has also functioned flawlessly.

I'm sure you would be getting a fine gun if you chose the Bodyguard. I'm just giving you my rationale for not choosing it.

As far as snags , safeties and reliability, get a pocket holster for pocket carry, otherwise expect some problems.

I put a Sweet Pea trigger, stainless guide bar/spring set and some 7 round magazine kits from Galloway in mine. It is truly a fine shooter now and it is always with me.
I also put a Hogue grip wrap on and it works well.
