have all necessary components except brass, which i am collecting a few at a time

There is brass out there ... I just picked up 500 once fired ... roll sized deprimed... cleaned nickle plated brass for $25 ... that was shipped ... that is about as good as it gets other than free ...

A pound of Titegroup will yield about 2121 rounds ... if you don't spill any...

I picked up 2000 small pistol S&B primers from Cabela's for $42.83 total (inc tax & out the door) (KY)

I am lacking bullets other than some Hornady 90 gr XTP .... once I decide what I want ... I'll order those ...

Got a set of dies RCBS ...

I loaded a couple hundred ... ... I am ready for more ... shooting and reloading...

I don't know if you saw that little paddle holster that I made ... first holster I ever made... that is for around the yard ...on the farm carry where I am not worried about conceal ...

This is a gun I really wanted to like. I mean I was pumped to buy one. It does fill a niche. Then I got to the LGS and I just hated the trigger. It reminded me of my old S&W Sigma. I also didn't like the way it felt in my hand.

A year later I tried a Taurus TCP. The trigger is butter smooth compared to the LCP and I got a black SS one for $200. Buds just had the regular black steel slide one for $165 but both are sold out. For a little mouse gun it is pretty accurate to 25 feet or so which is way beyond what it's for. I was a bit apprehensive about buying a Taurus automatic but the thing has been flawless. One stovepipe with WWB in the first 100 rounds. Mines loaded with Fiocchi Extrema XTPs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNtPHYwcDts
It's an interesting view if you have a .380 mouse gun.
Cabelas had plenty of the Fiocchi Extremas.

Had a first gen and that clearing the shelf price for a Gen Two is nice. The later models are supposed to be a shorter lighter pull, but it's still a DAO gun. Most are in this class so when I was looking around the last few months it was a challenge to find a 10 oz gun with something under an 8 pound pull.

I found it. And that gun has last round hold open, which compensates for the stiffer recoil spring, as you could run mag after mag thru the gun with only charging it the first time. The LCP, no. But these really aren't range guns.

It's about the trigger - for me, a long heavy trigger is a problem waiting to happen as I have to adjust my grip at the 2/3 mark pulling it. As the trigger is pulled back, I lose leverage and it gets increasingly difficult to finish the stroke.

Comparing a RM380 and CW380 at a gun store yesterday it was night and day. The RM is much the same as my old LCP, ling trigger pull - which the clerk claimed could be pre-staged. Not my kind of tactic, if I'm going to put my finger on the trigger it's to pull it and waste no time getting the shot off. It's a self defense gun, kill or be killed decision point, not a range gun.

I bought the light - 5-6 pound - and shorter - 2/3's or less - trigger pull on the Kahr.

YMMV.

The 2nd generation LCP has a MUCH better trigger. If I recall correctly, the way to tell what you have is the 1st gen. had a hyphen after the 3rd digit of the serial and the 2nd does not. If you guys are getting 2nd gens. for $200 I think that is a great deal. I think I paid $350 for mine with stainless slide.

edit: My trigger pull is 6lb. 3oz. measured with a Lyman digital gauge and has a shorter pull than a 1st gen.

As an update to my earlier post, I would like to add that I have shot over 200rds through my new LCP. I seem to be getting used to the trigger and my 15 yd groups are getting smaller. This little gun actually shoots quite well for as small as it is. I bought a 7rd magazine for it which allows a little better grip for me.
One more thing worth mentioning. ... I have yet to have a single malfunction of any kind.

Mine was a complete POS, Ruger gave up on it and sent me a refund after it went back to the factory several times. They were jerky about it too, told me to try different kinds of ammo, this back during the shortage when any .380 was hard to find. I'm sorry, but a new gun should work with ANY factory ammo. The malfunctions began after 200 rounds, FWIW.

It has been replaced with a Colt Mustang .380, reliable and much better trigger and more accurate.

My LCP is like the American Express card,,,I never leave home without it unless I plan on taking something bigger! ;)
It fits the need and mine does shoot well,,, no issues with it and I wouldn't sell it!

I have the extremely similar P3AT. Like so many others have said, it ain't fun to shoot, but it goes bang every time and you can carry it in the lightest of clothing. I prefer to have my snub 38 or snub 44 or LC9 with me, but those little micro 380's are so easy to carry that it's almost always the one I have on me in warm weather.

Have been very pleased with my LCP Custom. I carry it in my back pocket in a Bianchi 152 wallet holster and completely forget its there. I can wear it with any type of clothes. Am amazed at the accuracy.
