Ruger M77 357 Scope

I'm in the market for a Ruger M77 in .357Mag. Can anybody recommend a good low power (1-4 or 2-5 or so) scope? The rifle comes with 1 inch scope rings and my scope budget tops out at about a buck and a half. This will be mostly a fun gun not used for hunting or defense and will mostly fire .38 Special ammo. Thanks for your help!

I have a Leupold shotgun 1-4x on my 77/357 mounted with Warne QD mounts. The 75yd parallax and heavy duplex reticle of the Leupold are a perfect fit for the effective range of the 357.

It's a little over your budget (a few dollars over $200), but I would take a look at the Millet DMS.

If you can find one near your price range take a look at the leupold vx-hog 1-4 x 20mm with a 1"tube. I have the same rifle as you with this scope and with a 50 yard zero using fed 158gr 357 mag the top of the heavy bottom post lines up with the point of impact when using 38spl semi wadcutters at 4x magnification. Handy scope to keep the rifle light.
