Wow. I was under the impression from other forums that my serial numbers were in the range for the "rare" model of MK 3 Government Target Model. Mine is definitely not the normal "Target" model, and is definitely a MK678G based on what's on the barrel and on the box. But it does have one of the 227... serial numbers. I'm not sure what to think now. The bold stuff you have at the bottom of your post seems to fit mine though. Either way, auction is over in about 30 min and it's not moving... so maybe I will just keep it.
