Well lets see; IF any of you dingle ball BATf are out there I think the public needs to be protected from the Old Army Rugers that are not registered as firearms but can get a non registurd .45cyl PART stuck in in 5 seconds. Remember this information might get you a brown nose promotion and make you feel like a real American hero. Sorry I have drawn line in sand ! Gubbamint intent is now obvious and out of the closet.

It's not only Ruger Old Armys, but Remington replicas. And it's approved by the ATF. So what's the point of your post?

Also, IIRC, you can legally manufacture a firearm for your own personal use with no paperwork. But not for sale, just for your own use. Of course, unless you happen to have a CNC, turret mill, and a lathe just lying around, it's easier said than done. Further along are the paper-cartridge firing Sharps rifles that are classed as muzzleloaders. There was a murder done in this town a couple years back with a replica Colt M1860 .44 cap-and-ball, so who needed the conversion cylinder? Of course, in such an event, the real question is did he use Pyrodex or black powder? The reason BATFE doesn't care is because the threat level from a muzzleloader is lower than steak knives.

the threat from guns in general is lower than steak knives. this doesnt seem to make much difference to the JBTs.
