Hello,

I have owned a Ruger Redhawk for over two years now and am looking to replace the rear AND front sights with a set of tritium sights.

The only reasonable option I have found online is listed at MidwayUSA. Meprolight Tru-Dot sights for $115. Only problem is that they are listed as GP-100 or SUPER Redhawk sights. Heres the linkhttp://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/default.aspx?productNumber=739724#productTabReviews

I know the front sights for the Super Redhawk and regular Redhawk are interchangeable but what about the rear sights? I just took the rear sight out and compared it to the picture on MidwayUSA and it looks identical except for the area that would protrude from the gun frame i.e. the part that has the tritium in it.

Hopefully someone out there owns one of each and can just compare them for me. I am very handy and do most of my own minor smithing when I can so if the difference is minimal and a little filing or drilling a new pinhole would apply, I could handle that.

Please help me out! My little sig p238 has me spoiled! Now I think every gun I own needs night sights.

All Ruger rear sites are the same , 2 exceptions ,1 the flat tops are different altogether ,2 blade heigth varies to models .

The GP & Super use the same heigth , the Redhawk uses a different front site that is .390 tall.

This is what I understand from researching front heigth on Marbles sites .com.

Ruger sells the high vis front sights for a reasonable price.

Not a set of tritium sights; but quite a bit cheaper.

Well, fiber optic sights are worthless in the dark but thanks. Honestly, a 3lb .44 magnum is not the best weapon to use in the middle of the night anyway... or any time for that matter.

If im getting what the first guy posted, he means that I could put those tritum tru-glo sights on my regular Redhawk but my rear sight might be a little too low?
