ANTHONY SS:
Even if you have to pay $298, the Ruger Security-Six is a far better revolver than that price would indicate! You could offer $225 and work upwards again(If necessary?)? The price really varies, depending on where you are located!
Although I have several K-frame(.357)revolvers(And, like them!)I give the "Nod" to my Security-sixes-due to their superior strength, ease of disassembly for cleaning, and the fact that they can shoot continuous .357 magnum loads(Much longer than any S&W K-frame can!)before shooting loose! The trigger is better on the(Older)S&W K-frame revolvers-but, with a Bullseye(Or, other?)spring kit(And, with some break-in, time!)the security-Six trigger can become quite good!
I own several Security-Sixes and, I have never had a bad one! They are as tough as nails, they shoot accurately, they are very reliable, and you would be very happy with one of these revolvers, I'm sure! You will also be happy with an S&W K-frame(But, if you tend to shoot continuous heavy .357 magnum loads, you'd be better off, with the stronger, Security-Six!)! It's your choice? However, there is nothing wrong with a good, Security-Six! It will outlive you, if given good care! Good luck, in making your decision?
