I once had the same idea myself and talked to the Aspen Gun Works about it.
There had been an article in a gunzine about a No 1 .30-30 and it struck me as interesting.

They said they could do it, but tried a sales pitch for their favorite, .30BR.
I didn't pursue it, they did not seem real interested in MY wants, the cost was high and my interests changed soon anyhow.

It would not be a demanding job for any gunsmith familiar with the No 1, no more trouble than any other rebarreling. You might have to buy him a .30-30 reamer, that is not likely a popular custom caliber.

I had a no 3 rebored to 45 colt from 375 Win by Cliff LeBounty
I'm not sure he is still in that line of work. You could have one rebarreled but the cost may be prohibited. They made the No 3 in 30/40 Krag for a while why not try and track one down then if you reload down load it.

Thanks Highlander...

I just got off the phone with a fellow in TN who said the least expensive way is to find a #1 in .308 and have it's chamber cut back and recut. He'll do the work complete for about $250.

I have a lead on another guy - in Wisc. - who is supposed to be good too but I can't get him on the phone until this afternoon. :)
