Can someone tell me if I can shoot a 22LR in the 22 mag cylinder that I've got for my Ruger single six?

I could understand the 22 mag in a 22LR cylinder, but not the other way around. Thanks for the help! Neil

NO. Not the same thing as shooting 38spl in a revolver chambered for 357 mag, or 44spl in a 44 mag revolver.

While the diameter of the bullet is basically the same, the diameter of the brass is different between .22lr and .22 mag. That means the chamber dimensions are different too. You can't shoot one in the other.
