My buddy picked up a Speed Six and really likes it (so do I!) but when both he and I shot it our hands would kind of work their way up towards the hammer with the wood grips on there. I figure a set of rubber grips should take care of the problem but wasnt sure what to reccommend - the Houge or Pacmakers. Anyone have any experience here? Thanks!

I had hogues on my Security Six and didnt really like the sticky feel (they really printed on me) or the open backstrap. I tried a $8.99 pair of sile grippers at CDNN and LOVE THEM! They dont print, they are slim and THEY ARE VERY comfortable!!!

I've got a 2.75" Speed Six that I put some Pachmayr Compac's on and it feels great, doesn't print and 357's dont slam my hand at all.

Pachmayr makes some good grips for these guns. I have Gripper grips on my security six after finding out what shooting full-power .357's were like with the small wood grips :D

Pachmayr Compacts fit my Speed Six well. They don't look as good as factory walnut grips with Tyler adapter, but they are much easier on my hand when shooting heavy magnums.

Also tried Compac Pro's (open backstrap). They DID NOT fit my gun. After calling Pach support I learned that Pro grips only fit model numbers 151- and LOWER.

I have Pachmayr on an old Ruger Police Service Six. Added them when I tuned it up with a better spring and action honing... Improving the trigger and action helped a lot, but changing the grips gave me the ability to hold on target far better than with the factory grips. After these changes it became an EXCELLENT shooter!!
