Hey All,
Just bought a used Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnum.
It is stainless steel, with a 3.75" barrel, unfluted cylinder.

I cannot bring it home for a few weeks (I live in VT and the gun was bought in NH, and due to my schedule....won't pick it up for 2 or 3 weeks :(), so am curious if anyone here has one?

If you have pics, range reports, rumors, etc....I would LOVE to hear about this awesome revolver.

Can't wait to boink myself in the forehead under recoil, while touching off full power magnum loads!!:what:

I don't own one but want one terribly bad. It looks like one bad a$$ revolver. I've got the super blackhawk with the 7.5" bbl. and a 4" redhawk. But I might really have to consider getting one of those. When I checked it out it was such a nice semi compact package just begging to be in a nice leather holster on my hip. How much $ did that cost you if you don't mind my asking?

Hey Desertrat,
Imagine how big my eyes got when I saw the price tag: $475. :what:

I immediately asked to see it.
It looked like it had barely ever seen any firing or handling.....zero fouling near front of cylinders or forcing cone....like operating room clean!

I do not think that shop knew what they had? or perhaps 44 magnum revolvers are not moving right now?

In any case, its mine now!!

That is a steal of a deal. I'm not sure why they sold so cheap. Probably didn't realize what they had. At any rate you scored, and I am a tad jealous! Congrats on a fine purchase. You'll have to throw a post up when you get it picked up. Possibly with a range report and pictures!!

Not sure its something I would really want myself, but there's no doubt you got a good deal. Be sure to post pics when you finally get your hands on it!

I have one, love it.

It's still a big revolver, but the short barrel just makes it handier. I just got my Simply Rugged pancake with the reverse loops, and I can IWB the Lipsey's (not TALO, as far as I know) comfortably. Couldn't do that with my 50th Anniversary .44 mag, although the decision is still out on which grip I like better. Also miss the reverse index pawl from the Anni.

Both are highly accurate with nice triggers, so the more the merrier.

Hey dain bramage,
the Lipsey's special run is the short barreled Bisley grip frame....
The TALO is the plow handle grip frame....
Weird, but true!
Mine is the plow handle grip frame.
