I have a 4-year old, a 3-year old, and a 1-year old and I can tend to be absent-minded. I would hate to accidentally leave it on the counter in the bathroom with one in the chamber and no safety.
I looked at both for CCW and chose the SR9c because it has a slimmer grip and was quite a bit less money. In MA they give you 2 ten round mags with it. I think it has to be about the slimmest double stack you're going to find.
I looked at both today. If they were the same price I probably would have chosen the MP but the SR was $150 cheaper. I don't think the MP is worth that much more. I'm pretty frugal and believe a person shouldn't have to pay north of $500 to get a good reliable gun. If Ruger made a compact version of the P95 I would have bought that.
I haven't shot the SR9c yet so I can't tell you anything about how it shoots or how reliable it is.
