"9m45 joint effort will be called the Colt Multinational "

Oh great! If the French get involved they'll really screw up the round. The 9m45 sounded like it had such promise too.

I want to see an affordable lever action rifle in .500 S&W.

And yes, WildAlaska, I saw the pics.

Affordable....

Don't quote me, but I am nearly positive on this: The big things from SA is the addition to the GI line of a Hi-Cap model (13 rounds) like the old mil-specs from 2 or 3 years ago but cheaper. Also a micro-compact (3") in .45 gap, why...I don't know.

Thanks, Marshall, but that's not the same pistol.

The new one looks to have a rail, and is supposedly thinner than the current offering.

I'd be a little wary about the Baby Eagle in 10mm. When I bought my Glock 21 I researched a number of .45s, including the Baby Eagle. The Baby Eagle in 9mm seems a decent gun, but I found a lot of complaints about the .45 version. I decided to get a CZ97, which would make a good 10mm, I think, but I ran across a screaming deal on the 21 and bought that instead.

Starting in Jan. 2004, Taurus added a light rail to the PT145. Their website hasn't reflected the change. I bought mine in July and it does have the rail.

Is it still just as thick?

"This new 9m45 round sounds great. I wonder if they will make any for a revolver."

I don't see why someone wouldn't. If they can make it work in an auto it shouldn't be a problem for them to chamber it in a revolver.

Sure, you'd just have to load it from the front of the cylinder. The interesting question is whether Olin will perfect their light weight heliocordite load in time.
