S&K mount for 24-47 mauser

anyone have any opinions on this mount. i just mounted one to my 24-47 yugo mauser. it's not the one with the picatinny rail, but other....?

when i got it, it said "for m48" but i believe it is for the 24-47 mauser as well. i mounted mine and the rear sits up on that back screw......is that normal? or is it suposed to be flat and flush with the sight-base?

i think im going to take it off the reapply it with loctite.

The large flanged nut goes into the spring slot in the sight base. Then two set screws allow you to level the base. Then snug, but do not overtighten, the screw that goes into the flanged nut.

does yours have set screws? mine are hex screws.......they were a little tricky getting in.
