Just bought this from another member, will try to post pictures later(am having some trouble). I have absolutely no use for this gun, can't even make up a good lie as to needing it. This gun to me is like Crack to a Junkie.lol
Just a call out to J.R.W. have no worries dealing with this member, he went way and above so I could get this gun. If you can't wait till I post pictures, you can see them in the classifieds. John feel free to post them. Please post any pictures of your Model 25's if you have one.

I had a 25 once and loved it. An absolute fun gun 'just to shoot' and I took a deer at 50 yds with the iron sights and my own cast SWC load. Through and thrugh with a very short blood trail. The more you shoot it, the better you will like it. Enjoy!

I just love mine.

Carried a 25-5 on duty years ago, right down to the last shift before the transition period ended & it was "If you ain't wearin' the new Glock we gave you two months ago when you show up for work tomorrow, don't bother showin' up for work tomorrow!"

Still have it, along with a newer 25-9.

I did not consider the Glock a fair trade for that .45. :)

25-2 is / was / I am sure will always be my favorite handgun.
I will have another. The 625 is a great gun, just not a 25-2.

4in barrel, wide trigger and hammer, after market S&W grips with a extra set of Herrett grips, loading dies, about 100 rounds of brass

My 625JM really sold me on N frames, gold bead front sights and moon clips.

First time out put a bunch of different types of ammo all through one hole at 10yrds.

Howdy

Although I love N frame Smiths, I was never too interested in the Model 25, either 45 Colt or 45 ACP. That all changed when I ran across this Model 1955 Target, the gun that became the Model 25 in 1957.

About 8 years ago someone was trying to sell a 25-5 on the S&W forum. He used it in competition of some sort and had the throats reamed. I still remember all the members telling him it was worth nothing because he had it modified.

Because I wanted to own a .45 Colt I bought it. To my surprise it was the most accurate revolver I ever owned. I kept it for about 3 years and realized I liked the .44 more. Never should have sold that one.

Better late then later.

I still use my Model 25-2 in some Bullseye events. This fine revolver was developed and intended for use by Bullseye competitors "back in the day". A great sa trigger contributed to the superb intrinsic accuracy of this masterpiece of revolver building. The "Bright Blue" S&W finish applied to these revolvers was just icing on the cake.
