Combat Magnums are: M19, M66....Combat Masterpieces are: M15, M67, M68(Special model made for the CA Highway Patrol). Before model numbers were issued in 1955...the M19, M66 were just called Combat Magnums...The Combat Masterpieces: M15, M67 were called Combat Masterpieces...but the M68 CHP was only made as a M68 as there weren't any pre-model 68's.

Sadly, many new shooters have no use for a .38 special-only duty sized revolver.
They feel as if they must have a .357 Magnum or larger to have anything resembling an effective handgun...

There's a Model 67 in our bedside drawer safe that I picked up about 20+ years ago.
With the +P hollow points in it I'm sure it will do the job, if needed, just fine.

S&W does not keep track of when guns were made. Roy Jinks only has records for when they shipped. According to Roy, this one shipped in February of 1953.

I traded this one for a Mad Dog Lab Rat about 7 years back. The soligen knife which matched the sambar stag Nickle Mod 15 very nicely were valued at $350 for the S&W and the knife a $100 , both about 90% , say $500 with the grips. The Lab Rats were going $600 or better back then. The Lab Rats today sell right now for around $2000
