I can pick up a Millet rear sight that came on a S&W 41 very cheap. Will this fit the dovetail rear on a Ruger Mark II target? I think it would provide a bit cleaner sight picture so am considering changing it out.

Check the GUN Parts Corp website. They've got NEW millett sights for a lot of guns at very low prices. Finding them in the search mode is difficult, but if you search on MILLETT you'll eventually find them. (I picked one up, recently, for Browning HP.)

I just did a quick search: You want item 768170A, $14.95 -- and it will fit your gun.

(Use the Google Search on the site, enter "MILLETT + RUGER" and it should be the first result. Search down, and you'll find it.)

Thanks for the reply and the directions! I had no idea the Millet could be had that cheap new! I thought the price would be $50 dollars plus ..........

If you buy them directly from Millett they will be expensive.

Gun Parts Corp obviously picked up some business' inventory, when they got out of the business -- or took over a company like Brownell's stock, when they decided to refocus their product line.

I got a set of Milletts for my BHP, and they ARE good sights. I like the bright flourescent orange front sight.

(Mil-lay, I found, when I called them.)

I also have an AT-84S with has been customized. The front sight was a night sight with an tritium insert -- which disappeared. I tried to talk Millett into helping me with a front sight -- I was going to ship them the slide -- and they really weren't interested.

I later found that a Millett front sight on the E-Gun Part Corp sight would work, and got several, different heights, for about $4 each. (I needed a dual crimp staked sights to fit the AT-84S.) Had the parts in less than a week.

THR strikes again.

I bought a Mark I a couple weeks ago and it had the rear sight replaced with a (too low) fixed. I was looking in Brownell's for a replacement Millett and lo and behold, here comes this thread.

Now the sight is on the way for a pittance.

Thanks Walt. I wouldn't have thought of Numrich. :)
