S&w 586

A friend's grandfather has received back a revolver from his brother's widow that he is now trying to determine an accurate value for so he can sell it for his sister-in-law. A bit convoluted I know, but I was hoping I could get some expert input here. Anyway, per the info I was given, It's a S&W 586 no-dash, 4" barrel, blued, 99% condition, may or may not have the box, ser# AAA10XX.
Any help would be appreciated.
