S&W 5946 - Well a 5906 mag fit it?

I'm looking for a high capacity mag for a 5946. I currently have 3 15 round mags and am looking for one more. I found a 20 round mag for a 5906. Well this fit a 5946?

Yes, they're virtually the same gun.

It will fit, but that's not saying it will work reliably.

20-round after-market mags are a crap-shoot at best.

I had a 20 rd. mag that fed great... into a Keltec.

The 20-round is undoubtedly aftermarket. This is not to say it is bad, but it will require extra scrutiny with regard to feeding. With factory mags I've never had a Smith "third-gen" fail to feed.

I'm assuming that if they made it it would work fine.

smith and wesson makes a 20 rounder like he said in midway they are 39.99

I believe Mecgar also makes a 20 round magazine for the S&W guns. I've been meaning to pick up a couple for my Marlin Camp 9. I've never tried any of their S&W mags, but the four BHP 13 round Mecgar mags I have all work flawlessly.
