If you don't like the lock, don't buy it, but leave the people alone that don't care.

I totally agree , that's why I haven't purchased a new S&W with the lock since they started making them. I am glad people are still buying new ones though, more vintage pre-locks for me.

I've never touched the lock on my S&W and it still goes boom whenever I pull the trigger.
