S&W 627 not pro or pc

For a brief time (2008) smith and wesson produced the 627 not as a pro series or a PC model. It looked like a mountain gun only in the 8 shot 357 mag. It had regular red ramp sights and a matte stainless finish.

Now for my question, does anyone know how many of these smith made? I have found only one on gunbroker and cant seem to find anything else out there that isnt a pro or PC version. Any one know more about this particular version of the 627 and/or their availabilty. Right now Im watching an auction for one on GB, but I would like to know how many of these even exist.

Yes, I wanted one too. It is an N frame with a 4 inch heavy barrel. (Non slab-sided) I contacted S&W customer services & it was recently discontinued. Product #163357 is no more. Hope you win the one on GB. I had a chance to buy one at a gun shop six months ago and hesitated. Gone... But I got a pre- lock 627 PC now instead & it's more better. It worked out in the end.

I got one last year for $720.00. It was just sitting on the shelf in a local gun shop and caught my eye. 38s feel like shooting a 22 and 125/158 .357s are easy to handle for extended shooting as well. Sorry to hear they discontinued them. I like the classic look compared to the new look in barrel profiles. Good luck finding one.

Non Lock 627

That brings up a couple of questions. When were these produced and how many were made? Curious.

I lost one auction last week because I wouldn't go higher than $630 (used). Of course now I cant find another one. I guess it gives me something to do, its hard to differentiate between the models when doing a search.

What the heck Im still looking for a 5.5" Redhawk in 45 long colt and its been 5 years. I guess I have time. Just angry that I let one get away.
