I shot today, 50 rounds of some cheap blazer ammo, and 5 rounds of GDHP +P... put 200 through the g19 too, but anyways... I've been cleaning in right, and I've been working on the barrel for about 45 minutes, solvent, swobs, and brush. It isn't smooth in there, it looks all scratched and flaky. I'm used to my glocks super smooth shiny looking rifling in the barrel... its not like super extreme, but it concerns me. Is this usual? Its a brand new gun, only 110 rounds through it.

Was that cheap Blazer stuff cast? Leading is tough stuff to remove. My recomendation, Chore boy Copper (check with a magnet) scrubber-grocery or hardware store-cut and wrapped around a worn out .38 brush and some #9. These aren't lined barrels, and agree, they should be smooth and nice'n bright.

If it's lead, the Lewis Lead remover is designed to take care of this. Brownell's sells 'em.

Well, its working pretty good. I've been working on it for about 20min. I now noticed the barrel has a dent/chip in it about half way down. In the barrel not outside. Could that be covered in the warranty?

Its like 90% clean. I can tell by the way the light reflects off said dent that it is a dent. But. I will keep pounding away until its 100% clean.
