I recently picked up a second generation S&W semi auto. A model 645. This one was LNIB. Hard to tell it has been fired.
What a superb example of how S&W used to make guns. No tool marks and the slide to frame fit is perfect. Slide moves smooth as silk. Perfectly machined to fit the frame.
First trip to the range it put every mag into one ragged hole. The trigger is long in DA with just a little stacking. SA pull rivals my Colt 1911's. Actually this 645 out performs my Colts in accuracy and reliability.
They only made this model for about four years. probably lost money making it. It is that good. TJ
