I recently acquired a S&W 6906 in beautiful shape with what appears to be an almost new IWB left hand Milt Sparks holster. Holster is stamped 6906. I am a lefty and it seem to be super. First IWB. Website says about 6 months order time. Anyone familiar with these holsters as this is the first time I heard of them. Thanks

I don’t know about the holster, but congratulations on the 6906.

See the picture. Milt Sparks has a website. Orders take 6 months… no ****. I called them today and the customer service rep told me to look at the initials in the circle. “RS” …. He made it. First IWB and great 91844D82-9045-4AFF-9A62-084738476658.jpeg 9CDCB6AC-CBA5-472D-B4B5-32F266A17F67.jpeg

That's the Sparks Summer Special 2. It differs from the Summer Special with the inclusion of the shirt guard extension, lower ride, FBI rake, and interchangeable belt loop system. What it did retain is the metal reinforced mouth, sight rails, and rough out construction.

The original Summer Special, as designed by Bruce Nelson, only had a single belt loop. It's more vertical ride and ability to rotate on the belt was by product in it being deigned to carry a Colt Commander in the appendix position...which he utilized when working undercover narcotics assignments.

A 6 month wait for a custom holster is pretty common

Del Fatti makes a very nice holster

When I wear my 1911 out, I still often use my Milt Spark's Summer Special. It was a factory second (crack in leather on the reinforcing band) that I picked up in 1979 for $18.

My favorite OWB leather holster is Alessi's take on a Spark's BN55 that I have for a Beretta 92
