Yep, I know a couple of my guns fit that description, not really used for anything in particular besides fun. That said my father has a Judge and its been a fun gun. That might be enough for the OP.

Yep, if they had made them three decades ago I would have had to have one fro sloshing around in creeks and swamps in Alabama.
Instead I bought a 3" CA Bulldog in .44 Spl and used rat shot, which works great. The .410 shell has more capacity though.
My FIL had a Judge and gave it to my wife recently. I Iet a fellow at work borrow it (Along with some .45 Colt rounds) to try out and he loved it. Said it was very accurate with my .45 Colt rounds (MBC 255 Gr coated SWC) and had a great pattern with whatever .410 shells he had.
Can't forget the fun factor!Yep, I know a couple of my guns fit that description, not really used for anything in particular besides fun.
If you have enough time to shoot a poisonous snake you have enough time to avoid it.
Ive owned a judge, and a raging judge. Both functioned fine, but were highly disappointing with any type of shot. I cant see the governor being any different. Just my 2 cents
Maybe I'll get my feet wet with a Judge, see if I like it.
Nooooo.
5 shots vs. 6.
No to .45 ACP vs. yes to .45 ACP.
You said you already have .45 ACP . . .
Does anyone else find it deliciously ironic that Smith & Wesson copied this idea from Taurus?
Not really. I never thought Smith and Wesson would sell a 1911 at one time either. Or you could say they got the idea for the 5/686 from the Colt Python.
If I was a stockholder, and I could see how many of them Taurus sells, and Smith and Wesson didn't offer one, you can bet your boots I would want to know why.
I was referring to the fact that Taurus has expended much energy over the years producing copies of Smith & Wesson revolvers. The Governor is a case of role reversal. Nothing more, nothing less.
