Saw a mint one yesterday for $239..is this a good deal??I'm thinking it is..it also had custom grips that fit my hand great......If I go back and it's gone:banghead:
It passed the check out with flying colors...it was REAL tight.I looks like the previous owner had hardly shot it at all(or at least mostly 38's.)I probably should've put money on it.....I'm going to stop by tomarrow with a trade in and see how it goes.I just may give them a call today and let them know I'm interested(the guy knows me and I've buoght lots of guns there in the past)..i'll report back..
You may be right.....I'm taking the Zen approach..if it's meant to be kind of thing.....the gun I'd trade in on it is my Speed six....which I love,so it's kind of a new loose situation(although the 19 was mighty pretty)...I guess I'll let "fate" decide.......although a phone call is pretty cheap..........you're right,I'm calling now......
That is a great cash price. I hate to see you trade a Ruger Speed Six in on it though. They aren't making any more Speed Sixes and it might be tricky trying to replace it if you trade it. I would just pay cash for the S&W 19. I would not have let it out of my hands at that price. That is a great price if it is in decent shape.
Give us some specs on it. Bbl length? Finish (blued I assume but maybe nickel), trigger, sights, hammer, what dash number was it? For example, was it a 19-5 or something? Was it P&R? What kind of custom grips were they?
If it is there when you go back, you should at least put some money down on it and then you can think about it without losing it. You know you are going to buy it so might as well secure it. Also, I think this is the reason credit cards were invented. You can't go wrong on this deal so buy without worry. You can always sell for at least the amount you paid.
I would have bought that in a New York second, and I don't even want it (I have three now that I never shoot).
I wouldn't consider trading the Ruger in on it however.
Why trade anything in when it's only $240? I'm a struggling college student and for a 19 like you describe, even I could come up with that kind of money.
