Are the throats oversized like the -5?

1990, the 25-10 was 1993.

I have a 4" 25-9. The throats on mine will allow a .452" plug gauge to snugly fit through. A .453" won't even start. It is one of the more accurate handguns that I own. It will shoot circles around My 25-2.
