Just saw S&W bringing out a Mountain Gun in .45 Long Colt BLUED!!

Man it looks nice - I might evern order one tommorrw before they are all gone...grin

How old was the magazine you were reading?

The gun was released in Feb, to stocking S&W dealers only. The run was 1500 guns so I suppose they will try to get a preimum price for them. I saw one on Guns America but I don't remember the price.

Grin - I guess GunBlast.com is a bit behind the times then - even though the article was dated May 4/04.

Funny though - you do a search on S&W's site and it pops up as a current production model!

I've seen prices over $600 for them. I wouldn't pay that for what you are getting, but that's just me.

I saw one at a show this weekend. Nicely blued, but the fit of the wood grips to the frame was just awful.
