Is there an on-line list of S&W revolver manufacturing dates?

It's getting a little dated, but this is the best list I've seen online - http://www.handloads.com/misc/Smith.Model.Changes.asp - scroll to the bottom for the model dash info. As far as serialization goes you'll still need to buy The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Supica & Nahas; which is a great book anyway.

That gives me a ballpark idea. Gun's older than I thought. Someone took good care of it, given that it has evidence of being carried in a holster.
