SA, TX shooters: Where do you go?

I'm in SA, And I can't find any good ranges that have rental guns besides the Bullet Hole. Any favorites?

San Antonio is notoriously light on good gun ranges.

SA ranges

I normally shoot at the Bracken range out on Nacogdoches road north of 1604. They don't have any guns for rent though. There is a place called "A Place to Shoot" down on the south side of town, off of Moursand road I think but don't remember for sure as its been long time since I went there. Its too far from where I live. I think they used to have guns for rent. Thats about it for the ones I know of. Good luck. Wayne

I go out to the Bandera gun club once in a while. It's a long drive, but it's pretty nice.

There is Cedar Ridge in Bulverde, which is due north on 281 about 20 miles out. Then there is Blackhawk which is in the SW corner of Bexar County, right on the Atascosa County line. They do not rent guns, but they do have matches (IDPA, IPSC, Action Pistol, Steel Challenge) on weekends.

I can recall renting a 9mm at A Place to Shoot several years back. Don't recall if they still do it, though.

They're on Moursund road outside the Loop. Go up about 2 miles, it's on the left, just after a sharp climbing left hand curve. If you get to the little grass airstrip on the left, you've gone past it - turn around.
