2009 pistol. NRA had chosen it last year . ANyone have one of this in 9 or 40 SW ?
I wish they have in compact version like the Glock 19 for CCW.

I have 6 XD's in various calibers. The latest is an XD-M in 9mm. I like it a lot and I'm hoping they will come out with a .45 acp version in the near future.

Hope this helps.

I have an XDM in .40 S&W in all black. It is a great gun. It is very accurate. At 7 yards I can get 5-10 shots in a half-inch group. At 15 yards, it opens up some, but the firearm is more accurate than my shooting abilities at that range. The XDM is also very easy to clean and came with a carrying case, 2 magazines, gun holster, and a magazine holster (I haven't used those, but its nice they came included). You can also change out the grip backing for small, medium, or large hands. Finally, it seems like a pretty safe gun. It has a trigger safe and a grip safe.

I really like the XDM.

I have and love my XD(m) in 40 whats not to like (for me ) 16+1 capacity.. match grade barrel .. it points well .. and fits my hand .. overall I couldnt be happier

I have an XDM9. Last time I shot it, I used economy ammo, and could only hit 18 out of the 20 rounds it holds on a 8.5" x 11" target!

Oh wait, that's because it was at 50 yards :D

Just bought an XD .40 at the show on Saturday. Shot it Sunday with 50 factory rounds and the 200 I made up Saturday night! Nice gun.

I just won a drawing for an xDM 9mm at an IDPA match on Saturday. I have to go back up and pick it up next weekend, so I haven't actually seen it yet.

I'm trying to decide whether to sell it for another wonder-nine because I can't use it for IDPA in SSP class.

You xD lovers aren't making it easy to part with it. (Especially since so many guys I know are having so much trouble with the S&W M&P which is probably what would replace it.)

Oh well...keep it up!

I bought an XDm 9mm 2 weeks ago and have run 200 rounds through it flawlessly.

Very accurate at 7 and 15 yds.

Comes with a nice kit. Very easy field strip and clean.

Only prob is with a magazine capacity of 19 (+1 if you want), you blow through ammo!

You will not regret this gun.

Anybody have problems with the mag loader for the 9mm version? Mine only works for about the first 10 rounds, then makes the rounds tip up instead of snapping in the mag.

Is it true that the XDMs "M" stands for More?... as in XD, now with More features. I think I read that in American Handgunner or some other place.

What they did was take all the improvements and make them start with M. Some of them sound like a bit of a stretch.

Here is a link that has all of them:
http://www.the-m-factor.com/

I'll just type them out:
Mega-lock texture
Model contour frame
Major grasp slide serrations
Minimal reset trigger
Melonite
Match grade barrel
Minimal error disassembly
Maximum reach magazine release
Mega capacity magazine
Mould-tru backstraps
Multi-adjust rail system

It also comes wtih a Multi-use carrying case

John Wayne-

I have the same prob most times at about 12 rounds. Just slightly bang the magazine on the table while on its side...this will line up the rounds. Sometimes I have to do this twice to load all 19. It only takes a quick second
