Sabot's in F-open?

i'd start by calling the bullet mfg and inquiring about max velocity. if you push some of the long skinny bullets too fast, they are prone to disintegrating mid-flight due to the rotational stress

Saw it happen to a guy at the F Class match I was at week before last. He was shooting DTAC 6mm in a 6XC. Shooting at the 500 yard line and his bullet came apart at 200 yards. As Walter said in "The Big Lebowski"....

"...Mark him zero....."

I tried some 75 gr Hornady A-Max in my fast twist .223 meant for 90 gr.
I got one string that was nothing but 10s, Xs, and misses. Scorer said he could see the silver streaks in air as they broke up.
Loaded them down a bit and they shot great at midrange.

I had been losing 90 gr Sierras in flight, too. I fixed that by going to JKL and Berger.
