I dont think anyone has the right to bust a gut over this guy.

One question.........

Who on this board was born with an inherent and immediate knowledge of all guns, how they function and their value?

Ya...........thats what I thought.......we all started somewhere.

Shoot well..................

I recently got very very screwed at a gunshow. The dealer flat out lied his
a$$ off. The firearm had an extreme defect that was not readily visible.

Yes, I should have been more careful but after 55 plus guns from all over the place I have never been taken or disappointed.

This dealer is there every gunshow so I'm going to talk to him about a refund next month and if he doesn't give it I'm going to camp out at his table and advertise what a great deal I got.

The golden rule for many gunshow sellers is get what you can, any way you can without regard to the customer or future business.

You may have your doubts--but you don't know for sure, do you? ~At least you're starting to realize that you might be wrong. That's something. Maybe there's hope for you yet.

P.T Barnium said " There is a sucker born every day" he also said " you can fool all the people some of the time, some of the people all the time, but not all the people all of the time"

Strangely enough Barnum never said either of those phrases. At least they arent properly attributed to him.

You may fool all the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all the time.

The above phrase has been attributed to Abe Lincoln, it was even mentioned in a book about Lincoln in 1904,
Alexander K. McClure, “Abe†Lincoln’s Yarns and Stories, p. 184 (1904).

He may well have said it but as far as is know he never wrote it. As for me, until it can be proved he did not say itor didn't say it first, I will continue to attribute it to old Honest Abe.

There'a a sucker born every minute.

This was actually said by a banker named David Hannum who was part of a five-man syndicate in Syracuse, NY who owned 66% of the Cardiff Giant. The Cardiff Giant was a major hoax perpetrated by George Hull, of Binghamton, New York an amateur archeologist and paleontologist, shortly after the Civil War.

Actually I didn't have any doubts at first until I :scrutiny: it again. Remember, this guy was trying to trade in or sell this polished turd for something. Sometimes it's best to feign ignorance in that type of situation in order to get "something" out of it.

Anyone who is going to go to gun shows or buy used guns off people
should have a copy of the Blue Book with them. And Buyer Beware.

Well anyone that would pay 300 bucks for a 50 buck POS pistol probably should not even own a gun...............

People new to guns wouldn't know what's a POS and what's gold.

Of course cheap guns do serve a need for those who can't afford to buy HQ stuff.

The last 3 gun shows I went to, there was a guy selling a beat-up, box stock CZ-75 for $500, with one ten-rounder.
I figure he's still trying, if he hasn't unloaded it on some poor schmuck already.
That should be criminal.

Outrageous Prices

If you think that's bad, you ought to see what some people have been getting for C&R rifles on places like Ebay (before Ebay went anti-gun)

People take advantage of others every day in all sorts of ways. I do feel sorry for this guy and also for the one who sold it to him. Why? Because he or she is apparantly going through life trying to get what they can without any thought or care for their fellow man. This is sad.

There are lots of things that lots of us do not know anything about. But, I do agree that it is a good idea to research as much you can something before you go shopping for it.

This guy should have known better, but how many times in the past have we all done something that we shouldn't have done?
