Here's a "Queen" that has been sleeping in a corner of my gun room for 20 years: A Remington Model 720, which few of today's shooters have ever seen or even heard of. It was introduced on the eve of WWII and discontinued after a few short years with only a few being manufactured. But during that short time Remington made one of the finest bolt action rifles ever made anywhere and a worthy adversary to Winchester's great Pre-WWII M-70. These pics don't do it justice. A friend of mine has a liberator. The .45 acp handgun made by GM and singer out of tubing that were dropped over occupied France and the Philippines. There are 11 known to still exist out of a million made. I stupidly asked if we could shoot it. But with no rifling it has 0 value as a shooter and 100% value as a piece of history. It might be interesting to feel the kick and see how far off target the bullet would go, but not worth devaluing the gun. He did let me cock it though.

I have an FN-49 chambered in 30-06. I believe it was from a Belgium contract, I shoot it regularly without fail. I don't have a gun I wouldn't shoot.

I would love to hear more about that rifle. It looks like it has a Mauser-like claw extractor. What is it chambered in?
