like the title says, which one is better......okay, i'll give you a little criteria.;)

Cost: I have it figured to cost about the same with scopes, and the saiga having a wood stock. I don't know the difference between the Romak-3, PSL and FPK but they are priced almost the same.

Accuraccy: This is the main point, I want a distance rifle 600-700 yards max. minute of person.*

Ammo availability/price: I know 7.62x54r is cheap, but I also know that cheap stuff ussually sucks for accuraccy, are there many target loadings available?

Please, if you have information regarding only one of the rifles, post it! I'd like to know that you think even if you haven't had any experiece with both.

Thanks a lot.

*Not planning to shoot anything but paper and I do not want to look like some psycho or give us gunowners a bad image, but minute of person seems like a fitting accuraccy measurement for a sniper or sniper-esque rifle.

I have had 2 stock Saiga 308's, with the 16 in bbls. Saiga doesnt care much about their furniture, but makes a cold steel poured, hammer forged, chrome lined bbl. They were bought 2 yrs apart, and they were both moa capable. this includes with most Empire milsurp ammo, brit, us, singapore, canada, s. African, and all the former S. america nazi laden countries. i would not hesitate to get another, if i were looking for a 308. Plus SOOOO easy to clean. The trigger? It could be the worst ever invented, it is WAAAAAAYYYYY out there, and you start to pull down, and it goes down, then back, then starts to pull up , and up , and up, until you get all the way to the back of the trigger guard, then it fires.
I bet a wood furnished ,22 inch bbl one is very nice, plus put a fat recoil buffer on it, proly hardly kicks at all.
If you get one, you must do something about that trigger! I actually had a gunsmith cut it, wrap it around a steel piece, heat the whole thing up, bend it forward about 30 degrees. It helped, but still sucked, even though I put some of that clear rubber tubing slipped it up the bottom of the trigger. it still would slap the hell out of your finger.
But there are plenty of places to get the trigger mod. go check here first.
