Saiga Conversion -OR- Romanian G?

Taking a look at http://www.classicarms.us/ , they have a " ROMAINIAN CIVIL GUARD AK ". These are built on new US manufactured Nodak high-cap receivers.
They also come with the Tapco G2 FCG. and US gas piston.

One more quote on the rifles " EACH RIFLE IS EXPERTLY ASSEMBLED AND QUALITY CHECKED TO INSURE PROPER MAG FIT, PERFECT SIGHT RADIUS, ETC. THEY HAVE ALSO BEEN FEED AND FUNCTION TESTED. "

Has anybody had any experience with these 'Romanian G Code' AKs?
Specifically - Build quality + Accuracy


Considering buying the Romanian G instead of trying a Saiga Conversion

With the Saiga I'd have to do more work but it COULD be more accurate and higher quality.. assuming I dont mess it up too bad.

They both come out to about the same ballpark price after the conversion


Seeking the intelligent advice from anyone who has experience with both of these rifles.

Well, I don't know about the Romanians, but it sounds like they are 922 compliant, as soon as you get them. If they have a decent bbl, like a Saiga does, actually a Saiga has a great bbl, then I would have no probs getting the romy.

There have been many reviews on those "Heavy Metal Guns" built Romy "G"s at classic.

The Saiga starts out as a brand new rifle, and none of the basic conversion processes affects any tolerances.

With a parts-built gun, you are opening yourself up to many more variables during the build.

I would opt for a Saiga. I can't wait to get mine.
