saiga optics

I finally found a 308 Saiga. They are hard to find around here. It seems pretty accurate with iron sights, but I want to mount a medium power scope. Any experience with this project would be helpful. What scopes and mounts would y'all use for this 21" barrel rifle. It has the Tapco M4 style stock(already installed when I got it). The tapco stock seems to have less drop than the factory stock, which may be good with the high profile mounts I have seen online. Thanks

check out the beryl mount from Carolina Shooter Supply... it's what I use and love... be sure to use lock tite on the elevation screw... the best mount there is for any AK!

I went with one of these:

They are inexpensive and have good glass, illuminated bullet drop & ranging reticles (.308 has similar trajectory to the 7.62x54r they were designed for), quick detach mounts, and are built like tanks. Might as well keep your russian rifle russian.
