Hi
The Empresa Nacional Santa Barbara .380 JSP packs a really stout recoil.
While I wouldn't subject an aluminium-alloy frame to a lot of it, I suspect
your CZ83's steel would handle it... though your effective rate of fire in
a defense situation might suffer. The ENSB softpoint doesn't really expand,
I agree.
...and my 'suspicion' that your frame might handle the battering should in
no way lessen the worth of cautions that have already been offered above.

As an aside, ENSB was recently bought by General Dynamics, the signing
ceremony last July 25 capping a 2-year pursuit. ENSB, acquired along with
Santa Barbara Blindados, S.A., will now be be known as
"
Santa Barbara Sistemas S.A., a General Dynamics Company"
as part of General Dynamics' Combat Systems group.
According to said Arthur Veitch, General Dynamics senior vice president of Combat Systems,
General Dynamics will invest approximately 60 million Euros in capital
improvements over the next five years to "make Santa Barbara Sistemas
competitive in world markets and maintain a strong military/industrial
capability for Spain. By combining the legacy and current resources of Santa
Barbara with the improved processes and technologies that are the
trademarks of General Dynamics, we expect to create long-term business
growth to the benefit of our customers, employees and shareholders."
With 2000 employees in nine locations, Santa Barbara Sistemas produces
combat vehicles and munitions for the Spanish Army. The company has a
funded backlog of approximately $2 billion, which includes a contract to
provide the Spanish Leopard main battle tank, built under license from a
German company; the Pizarro tracked infantry fighting vehicle; the 155/52
Howitzer and the 40 mm grenade launcher; as well as other munitions.
How's that for nearly-useless trivia?
