Santa brought me a Staccato 2011! Now for a dot! ... and light

I think the Trijicon SRO in 1 MOA wins this time. I don't think it's the best choice for certain confrontations, but I plan on shooting it so much more at a range. And, I know that's not the best thinking.

So now it's time for the light/laser!

I like Stream light TLR-7

Did you have that cut? I know they have optic ready, but I've never seen one. Right up there with Yeti, big foot and such. I'm not sure if I want to dot my Shadow 2. Seem's, I keep learning from it's irons.
Yeah, I was a early adapter of the SRO, ss# under 100, Cajun Gun works did it. they also put lighting cuts on the slide

I also had CGW do the SRO optic cut for my Shadow 2 Orange. Turned out great.

I carried it for 2 years without any issues except lint on the screen. Not a war fighter or anything. My carry philosophy is, carry a cool gun that you can shoot well
Glad you've had good luck with it. I also like to carry a cool gun that I shoot well, but would never consider carrying my Shadow 2 Orange. For one thing, it's just too big for how I carry. But the bigger issue for me is the trigger is just too light for tactical use, IMO. Don't get me wrong, I love that trigger and shoot 100's of rounds a week out of the gun. But I just think it's too light for carry.

Just curious why you'd want a laser and a red dot? It looks like the Staccto has backup irons, so I'd think you'd have the redundancy thing covered.

I want a Orange!

Oh heck ya! I think ya gotta pick it up and shoot it to really understand your sage words. BUT! For the range?!?! oH YEAH! Ride that re-set!

Sure, I get ya. I guess it's two reasons. or three? Anyway, the light is always or has always been very handy for me. I do not pick up night nearly as well as I did 10, 20, 30 or so many years ago. I have had an occasion where the de-escalation of the event was by putting a dot on someone. At the time it was considered a sanctioned move. And, if needed, a dot from a position that does not include looking down the sites has benefits. However, a dot by itself in the wrong climate is a great give away. I teach all the kids house clearing with a light/laser. It seems sensible. But I'm always open to suggestion! Always willing to listen and learn. Other ideas? Thx.

Did ya get the bushing on that? If not, I'd guess it's another trip to CGW?
I could not bring myself to have the stock S2O slide cut, so I bought a new S2 slide from CZC and sent it to CGW. They did the optic cut and put their bushing in. I have a steel dovetail mount on the S2O. Both slides have SRO's, but the cut slide shoots noticeably flatter and differing ranges.

No, I don't have any other ideas, I was just curious. Sounds like it makes sense for you.

I feel for Ya. That and the fact that my wife would kill me. I've wondered why when so many guys go out and put their slides on a diet, why the manufacture doesn't do something first? Ideas? If you don't mind, what's a new slide cost and what did CGW charge? Thx.

I was thinking of doing the same… but I opted to just buy another CZS2 … eventually… or maybe after I get a Tac Sport.

The slide was a new take off. It was $600. The CGW work was a little over $200.

The reason I didn't have CZC do the optic cut is I didn't want to have to use an adapter plate. I wanted it to be as flat shooting as possible.

yeah, I didn’t like the optic plate ether but my dreams of becoming a Grandmaster was squashed when I started shooting matches. I suck! But I look good and I got all my lingos and Run&Gun look down! Now I just have to stop missing target

Yup! Everything looks good on my side. Right up to target inspection. In golf, I quit because they wouldn't let me play with a bigger ball. Now I think I need a bigger target!
