Savage Mark II 22LR after market parts

I just purchased a Savage MArk II 22LR and it only comes with a dinky little 5 shot magazine. Can anyone tell me where I can pick up a manly mag, such as a 10 round or more? I checked Graff and Midway and didn't see anything in thier catalogs, am I missing it? Any help would be appreciated.

Your in luck! There are OEM 10 round magazines available. Some Wal-Marts still have them, and any gunshop should be able to order one for you. Wal-mart charges less than $15 for them. The 10 rounders are bananna mags, meaning they are curved. They do prutrude beyond the stock, which for some makes holding the weapon less comfortable, than the more flush 5 rounders.

As far as aftermarget parts go, your pretty much stuck with what comes from the factory.

I just bought the Savage Mark II .22 rifle at Dick's Sporting Goods

and it came with (only one) 10 round magazine. The clerk said they were temporarily out of stock on additional magazines but they do usually have them (10 rounds) in stock.

I don't like the 10 round magazines. They stick out too far below the stock and make the rifle uncomfortable to hold.
