We took out my friends new Savage .22 to the range to sight it in. Its topped with a cheapo Tasco scope and a bipod for a sturdy hold. It had a free floating barrel.... dollar bill slid all the way to the reciever. The trigger was heavy (I dont know the wieght) but it broke very crisp.
It was fairly accurate too. At 25 yards it could put all the rounds ( Remmy bulk) in a small enough group that most of the holes were touching. At 50 yards, it would shoot around 1 inch groups if we did our part.
Overall it was a excellent buy. He got the rifle, scope, bipod, sling, and case for 175 dollars.
